Forest Hills Cemetery is three miles south of Chattanooga at the foot of Lookout Mountain. It was incorporated in 1885 by the late Col. A M Johnson. There are 1007 marked graves and 800 unmarked graves in Forest Hills.

COLT - Edgar William Borden Jr., 59, tax assessor for St. Francis County for 11 years,
died at University Hospital in Little Rock of injuries from an accidental fall Friday.
Services will be at 2 p.m.
Monday at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and treasurer,
with burial in Loughridge Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home of Forrest City has charge. He
was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Lions Club and the Kiwanis Club. Mr. Borden,
the husband of Judith Ann Kelso Borden, also leaves two
daughters, Debbie Marquis of Cabot and Krystal Borden Hill of Colt; two sons, Buddy Borden
and Justin Marquis, and a sister, Jewel Baskins, all of Colt; five brothers, J. C. Borden
of Memphis, Alfred Borden and Walter Borden, both of Colt, Leonard Borden of Russellville
and Johnny Borden of Jonesboro, and four grandchildren. The family requests that any
memorials be sent to New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.

HOUSTON - Jane Tunnell McClain, 38, fabric cutter, died of liver failure Monday at North
Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Houston Funeral Home with burial in Wesley Chapel
Cemetery here. Mrs. McClain, the wife of Danny McClain, also leaves her parents, Felecia
and Steve Tunnell of Houston; two sisters, Paulette Moore of Houlka and Patricia Clardy of

CLARKSDALE - Henry Albert Wigley, 88, retired owner/operator of Wigley & Culp
Wholesale, died of cancer Saturday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Oakhurst Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, with
burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. National Funeral Home of Clarksdale has charge. He
was a member of Clarksdale Noons Lion Club Conservation League, founding member of Lake
Charles Hunting Club, and board member of the North Mississippi Savings & Loan. Mr.
Wigley, the husband of Ann Kelso Wigley, also leaves a daughter,
Gloria Ann Wigley Kincade of Greenville; two sons, H.A.
Wigley Jr. of North Zulch, Texas and Mark Kelso Wigley of
Ridgeland; two sisters, Sallie Bell Fox of Fayetteville, N.C., and Key Wigley Fox of
Eudora, Ark., five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family requests that any

Obituary: WILLIAM BOYD LOFLIN, 73, of Memphis, retired employee of U.S.
Railway Mail Service after 35 years, died of cancer Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with entombment at
Memorial Park Mausoleum. He was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church, a World War
II Marine veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled Veterans Association,
a charter member and chaplin of the Marine Corps League.
He was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Loflin, the husband of Irene Kelso
Loflin for 55 years, also leaves a daughter, Linda Loflin Dirnberger of Preston, Conn.; a
son, William B. Loflin of Oakland, Tenn., four grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Highland Heights
Baptist Church or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Obituary: EDITH LOUISE KELSO, 81, of Memphis, published
poet, died of heart failure Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will
be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at
Idlewild Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel
has charge. She was a graduate of Rhodes College and University of Chicago who often wrote
about Memphis, including a book-length work, Ever Flowing River. She was a member of
Tennessee Poetry Society and Lena P. Hart Circle of the King's Daughters and Sons Society.
She leaves a niece, Anne Lowrey Bailey, and a brother-in-law, Forrest Gager, both of whom
cared for her.
